Bhubaneswar – The city popularly known as the City of Temples is also the city with omnipresent delicious street foods. Very similar to Bengali food, the Odia Cuisine loves spices, full of flavors and hosts plenty of meat and fish. Nutritionally speaking, your diet will go for a toss looking at the menu card.

We are a team from XIMB (MBA-BM) and have undertaken a study on the fast food joints across the city of Bhubaneswar as part of our Cost Management course. This is a small attempt at understanding the complexity and challenges faced by the micro enterprises especially the food street vendors at Bhubaneswar. As part of the project we have identified two fast food joints located in the city, namely – Regal Fast Foods and Vishwa’s Kitchen and would attempt to study their business model, revenue structure, the daily expenses, the sales per day and the nuances of running a fast food center and at the end we could hopefully advise them the necessary changes which they could incorporate in their business so as to run efficiently.
